Dear 3H-eers,
In the midst of all the holiday fun and merriment, do remember to put in quality time and effort on your holiday homework.
Do remember the following Holiday Homework
1. read 'A Thousand Years of Prayers' by Li Yiyun
2. read 'Shooting An Elephant' by George Orwell
3. read a Straits Times interview with MM Lee
4. read a Straits Times news report on MM Lee and SM Goh stepping down from Cabinet
5. take 3 photographs based on the given themes especially one on 'Transition' and 'Majulah...The Singapore Spirit'.
6. think about our Community Involvement Project - either a film or photo videos based on the theme 'Transition'.
With regards to no. 6, as suggested by Claudia, I am putting up a photo video done by other students of another school, that may help communicate my idea of our CIP for our class. Also visit http://www.civiclife.sg/competition.html to view some very interesting videos under the Where the Heart Is Video Competition. View 'Corridor'...simple yet so impactful.
I hope our videos can be showcased during one assembly programme, hopefully this year. Take a look at the video and let's discuss when school reopens.
View the videos, read the readings, and think and reflect on Singapore, as a Nation and People in Transition.
May your holiday be fulfilling and enriching!
